Malaysia Index close at 1,530.35, rose 30.05pts (+2%) for the week. Local Instition continue to be the net buyer for this week, collected total of RM40.86mil. Retailer and Foreign Funds continue to be the net seller of RM12.47mil and RM28.38mil respectively.

Moratorium ended, and market is normalising its volume, as the traded securities are ranging between 5 to 6 billions volume a day. Rally on crude palm oil prices overshadow the concern on coronavirus new cases in Malaysia. Over the weekend, there are a few Malls were required to close for sanitisation. Malaysia Index close at 1,500.30, fell by 8.84pts (-0.59%) for the week. Local Instition is the net buyer for this week, collected total of RM715.47mil. Retailer and Foreign Funds continue to be the net seller of RM171.55mil and RM543.92mil respectively. Over the month of Sep20, Foreign Funds sold a total of RM1.972Bil.

Weaker palm oil prices dragged down the market, and also with the increasing of Covid-19 cases adding to selling pressure. And also lets not forget about the end of Moratorium period, as many analyst expects retail investors might not have the extra funds to trade in the market. Malaysia Index close at 1,525.21, fell by 51.91pts (-3.29%) for the week. Foreign funds continued to be the net seller of the week, selling off RM484.99M. As for the month of Aug20, foreign funds sold a total of 1,632.09m, while Retailer are the one that collecting it.

Market ended at the week low on Friday, as investors are cautious on the change of component stocks of MSCI Global Standard index on Sept 1. (Adding Kossan and Supermax, removing IJM Corp) and also being cautious on reporting season and long weekend for Merdeka Day. Malaysia Index close at 1,564.59, fell by 13.55pts (-0.86%) for the week. Foreign funds turned to become a net buyer of the week after 25weeks of selling streak. Last week it was the Local institution selling total worth of RM722.78M.
